Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is excited after scoring in Leicester City’s 5-0 Premier League win over Newcastle on Sunday.
Leicester climbed to third place in the table as Ndidi scored the fifth goal that gave the Foxes their biggest win ever in the Premier League era.
“Buzzing into the new week with +3points and a great performance from the team,” Ndidi, who also scored against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this season, tweeted after the match.
Ricardo Pereira opened the scoring in the 16th minute on Sunday before Newcastle’s Isaac Heyden received a straight red card for a reckless challenge.
Jamie Vardy then found the net twice, either side of Paul Dummett’s unfortunate own goal, before Ndidi struck late on as Leicester claimed their fourth win from their last five top-flight matches.
Ndidi is Nigeria’s squad for the friendly with Brazil on October 11 in Singapore..
Ndidi’s Nigeria international teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho, was a unused substitute in the match.
